pHotographEr. Videographer. Polar Expedition Guide.

I am Linn Hottgenroth and I have been passionate about photography pretty much all my life.

It all started when my dad gifted me my first point and shoot camera when i was five years old. Ever since then I have brought a camera with me on every trip I embarked on. While in the beginning I took the typical documentary photographs a five-year-old would take of their surroundings, bit by bit they turned into more polished images.

Especially in the past eight years, when I really started working on my composition and technical skills, I have seen my work improve and I am proud to show my photography as well as help others develop their skills.

In recent years, my photography has gotten a clear focus: To tell stories. Stories of a travel destinations, incredible landscapes and protected nature areas as well as the incredible wildlife we get to share our planet with. All aiming to simplify whatever I see and turn a busy and overwhelming world into a more understandable and minimalist image.

Drawing your attention to a certain subject, I aim to give attention to the natural wonders of our world. Within wildlife and landscape photography this often results in a fragile looking subject which reflects the current state of our environment quite well. Through my photography I hope to draw attention to these incredible animals and their surroundings, to show how important it is to keep investing in nature and preserve it for many generations to come. Wether this might be through responsible tourism or wildlife projects.
